Heather Cooper, Government Facilitator

Ms. Cooper is a training and development facilitator who recently retired from the Air National Guard after 21 years of service. Her military career began with the Iowa Air National Guard in Quality Assurance Office and finished as a supervisor in Human Resource Office for the Florida National Guard servicing a diverse government employee clientele. Ms. Cooper worked in various areas of human resources with over 11 years’ of experience, to include but limited to: employee development, employee relations, performance management, leadership development, EEO/Affirmative Action, recruitment, interviewing, and labor relations.

Ms. Cooper received her Associate of Science degree in Information Technology 2001 from Florida State College of Jacksonville and completed her Bachelor Degree in Human Resources from Troy University in 2004.

Ms. Cooper is a well decorated veteran with experience working with a myriad of individuals from civilians to generals. Her background with military and government policy adds a level of knowledge and perspective that enhances a positive impact for future development aimed at new and current supervisors. Engaging her students with her passion and dedication for building the bridge between the employer and the employee, Ms. Cooper brings real world experiences to the classroom. Ms. Cooper enjoys crafts, motorcycles, gardening, traveling, music, and photography with her husband in Saint Augustine, Florida.
